In August 2019, an Intelligence Community whistleblower filed an urgent concern complaint with the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community regarding President Donald Trump’s July 25, 2019, telephone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and related matters. The complaint led to congressional investigations, an impeachment inquiry, and ultimately the first impeachment of President Trump. Compass Rose Legal Group Founding & Managing Partner Andrew P. Bakaj served as lead counsel to the whistleblower, with a legal team that included Mark S. Zaid.
