For Immediate Release

Washington, DC – On September 5, 2024, CBS News reported on CRLG client Ram Tumuluri’s disclosure to the U.S. Congress concerning misconduct by Steward Health and its leadership violating the Foreign Practices Act through its conduct in Malta. Prior to his disclosures to the U.S. government, on multiple occasions my client has offered his assistance and testimony to the Malta authorities in their inquiry to ensure justice is done for the Maltese people. Despite this, he has been ignored because it does not fit the inquiry’s narrative. Ignored by Malta, Mr. Tumuluri approached the U.S. authorities, namely the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Congress to advance their investigations. Accordingly, he is providing them his cooperation as a protected whistleblower. The results of the Maltese inquiry, such as they are, have resulted in Mr. Tumuluri becoming collateral damage in a political scandal involving Steward and the Maltese government.
